What is Astrotechne's mission?
Astrotechne is building a technical astrology workspace where charts, timing, reports, asteroid work, elections, and reference material share one source-aware workflow.
What can I do in Astrotechne?
You can cast live charts, manage saved private charts, search and import chart libraries, generate Asteroid Report, Doctrine Report, and Timing Report artifacts, browse the Public Chart Library, and use source-backed reference pages alongside chart work.
Do I need an account?
Public chart examples and reference pages are available without an account. Private saved charts, people records, report history, billing, and account settings require signing in.
How are sources used?
Public pages are paraphrase-first. Excerpts are limited to public-domain material or reviewed short fair-use snippets, and modern copyrighted material defaults to citation-only treatment.
How should I use references during chart work?
Use the chart surface to identify a condition, then use reference pages to inspect the object, doctrine, source, or astrologer context separately from the calculated result.
Where do reports and timing tools fit?
Asteroid Report, Doctrine Report, and Timing Report turn chart context into generated interpretive artifacts. Saved reports live in the Reports workspace, while generation starts from the report creation flow. Experimental timing, transits, events, and Explore panels are Labs surfaces, not the Core launch report promise.
Is Public Chart Library browsing free?
Yes. Public Chart Library browsing, public chart detail pages, and publication-approved public report viewing are free where exposed publicly. They do not require sign-in unless you start private saved work or new generation.
Does reading a public report use included reports?
No. Reading an already published public report does not use Free introductory reports, Core or Supporter included monthly reports, or pay-to-generate checkout.
What uses report allowance in the Public Chart Library?
Generating a new personalized report or a new public report uses an accepted report-generation path: one of a Free account's 3 introductory reports, a Core or Supporter monthly included report, or the flat $3.99 pay-to-generate checkout after included allowances are unavailable.
Does public browsing appear in report activity?
No. Public Chart Library browsing and public report viewing are not report-generation events and should not appear as report activity rows. Only generated reports, paid checkout recovery, and account report history belong in report activity.
Why does the Public Chart Library avoid social mechanics?
The Public Chart Library is an archive and research reference surface. It emphasizes provenance, source status, categories, tags, collections, doctrine visibility, and public examples instead of popularity ranking or attention loops.
Are product-page report examples real?
Yes. Product-page report examples come from real publication-approved public reports in the public chart database. If no reviewed record exists for a report family, the product page waits instead of showing a fabricated sample.
Who can use Labs?
Labs is Supporter-only beta access for elections, deep search, transits, events, Explore modes, mundane, and future experimental surfaces. Free and Core accounts use launch-ready chart, reference, Public Chart Library, and report workflows without Labs.
How is Labs different from launch-ready MVP surfaces?
Launch-ready MVP surfaces are chart-library storage and search, live chart inspection, source-backed reference, Public Chart Library browsing, and the three launch report families. Labs surfaces are experimental, may change or be removed, and require Supporter access.
Which reports consume included reports?
Asteroid Report, Doctrine Report, and Timing Report consume Free introductory reports, Core or Supporter included monthly reports, or a report-specific $3.99 pay-to-generate checkout. Public Chart Library browsing and publication-approved public report viewing do not consume report allowance.
Are included reports the same as AI tokens?
No. Included reports are monthly report-generation allowances for specific Astrotechne report families, not tokens, API units, stored account value, or generic text generation.
Does Labs access use included reports?
No. Labs is Supporter-only access to experimental workbench surfaces such as elections, deep search, transits, events, Explore modes, mundane, and future tools. Launch report families use introductory reports, included monthly reports, or report-specific pay-to-generate checkout.
Do my monthly included reports roll over?
No. Core includes 6 reports per month and Supporter includes 15 reports per month. Those included reports refresh each billing month and unused reports do not roll over.
Do my free intro reports expire?
New Free accounts receive 3 introductory free reports across the launch report families. They do not refresh after use and may expire if an account is closed, inactive, abusive, or otherwise ineligible.
Do paid report purchases expire?
A $3.99 pay-to-generate purchase is tied to the selected report request. It is not a stored balance, and support should review any paid request that is not delivered or recoverable.
Can I buy a bundle or pack of reports?
No. Astrotechne does not sell credit packs, wallet balances, stored paid credits, transferable balances, or prepaid report bundles at MVP.
What happens if report generation fails after I paid?
Contact support with the account email and report name. We will review the failed generation, retry or recover access when possible, and evaluate refund options when the paid report cannot be delivered.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are reviewed for duplicate charges, failed generation after payment, canceled checkout problems, legal requirements, and other case-by-case circumstances. Delivered report artifacts are normally final once generated.
What does canceling Core or Supporter do to my monthly reports?
Canceling stops future renewals and future monthly report refreshes after the paid access period ends. It may also remove paid-plan feature access when the subscription ends.
What is free to view in the Public Chart Library?
Public reference pages, public chart examples, public reports, featured analyses, and published historical or cultural collections are free to view where they are exposed without sign-in. Private saved work, report history, and new report generation require account access, included report allowance, or checkout.
How do I contact support?
Open /support with your account email, the report, checkout, public chart, public report, correction, source, provenance, billing, refund, failed generation, privacy, or account issue involved. Do not send payment card numbers.
Is Astrotechne production-ready?
Astrotechne is in active beta. Public reference and live calculation surfaces are available, while saved workflows, account features, and generated reports continue to harden.
